Paradigm's default navigation style is to open each window as its own tab, with each tab acting independently so that you can work in multiple screens simultaneously.
1. Create Floating Windows
By default, new screens are opened as docked tabs. You can easily customise the front-end to create separate floating windows for each screen.
- Method 1
Right-click on the tab caption and select, Float. - Method 2
Double-click on the tab caption. - Method 3
Click, hold and drag the tab away from the tab docking area.
2. Docking - Creating Tab Groups
Tabs can be docked to create vertical or horizontal tab groups, which is ideal for multi-tasking environments where you require multiple screens to be open alongside each other.
- Method 1
Right-click on the tab caption and select, New Vertical Tab Group. - Method 2
Right-click on the tab caption and select, New Horizontal Tab Group. - Method 3
Click, hold and drag the tab away from the docking area and towards the center of the screen and drop in the tab desired position.
3. Toolbars
The main toolbar changes dynamically based on the current active tab, so only toolbar buttons that are relevant to the current screen will be visible.
See Toolbar Buttons for more information.
