If the below error message occurs follow these steps:

Check that the database in Paradigm and Sage Evolution is correct.

To check the correct database in Paradigm:

  • Select setup on the Navigation tree (1)
  • Select companies (2)
  • The related databases will be shown (3)

To check the correct database in Evolution:

  • Open  SAGE EVOLUTION sign in screen.
  • Click Locate.

  • The following screen will open.

Ensure that the database name is the same for Evolution and Paradigm.

The error message says that the database cannot be opened.  This is due to the two databases not being the same.  

Paradigm reads QAEvolutionCommon and Evolution reads EvolutionCommon.  Paradigm should also read EvolutionCommon database. Amend and save. CTRL + S
